Helen started to draw at a very young age, copying the comics in the newspaper before she could read the captions. Her first request for birthdays and Christmas was always for a new paint box and paper. It was no surprise to her parents when she applied to the Illustration program at Sheridan College.
After graduating from the Illustration program and working for numerous years in the commercial arts profession, she had the opportunity to change her career path to that of fine arts. Helen creates images that she is attracted to and has a varied portfolio of still life, portraits and landscapes. She has received numerous awards for her work and has been mentioned in many articles in the media. She is a member of the Burlington Fine Arts Guild (BFAA).
